Sustainability is a core development principle and long-term operating standard at Qiuzhen Academic Publishing. Since our founding, we have integrated responsible academic publishing, fair knowledge dissemination, and low-carbon operations across the full publishing workflow, while taking seriously our role in strengthening the scholarly ecosystem, supporting cultural continuity, and contributing to the public good.
Our sustainability practice centers on open publishing and broad access to academic resources. In alignment with the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we prioritize humanities and social science research related to educational equity, cultural heritage, social governance, ecological civilization, rural cultural revitalization, and public welfare innovation. Through a comprehensive open-access model, we lower barriers to publication and access so that high-quality work from scholars across institutions, regions, and fields can circulate freely and equitably.
To implement this strategy systematically, we are developing a dedicated sustainability framework for academic publishing, benchmarked against international standards and informed by the principles of the SDG Publishers Compact.
In green publishing and low-carbon operations, we are advancing fully digital workflows, paper-light processes, and efficient production systems. Online submissions, cloud-based editorial review, digital typesetting, online-first release, and long-term digital preservation all help reduce material consumption and operational emissions while supporting a modern, efficient publishing infrastructure.
Looking ahead, Qiuzhen Academic Publishing will continue to ground its work in scholarly integrity, social responsibility, and green innovation. By refining sustainable publishing standards, expanding inclusive academic services, and maintaining disciplined low-carbon operations, we aim to contribute durable professional value to both the scholarly ecosystem and broader cultural progress.
