Qiuzhen Academic Publishing uses a layered architecture combining a public portal and an OJS workflow system. The data scope, purpose, and boundary of each layer should be disclosed clearly.
The portal mainly hosts journal profiles, policy pages, announcements, and institutional information for public browsing. It does not directly operate submission or review workflows.
To maintain performance, security, and information architecture, the portal may use basic logs and anonymized analytics, but these do not replace workflow-level data management.
Author accounts, manuscript files, review reports, editorial records, and system notifications are processed and stored within OJS rather than on the public portal.
Board members, editors, reviewers, and authors operate under role-based permissions inside OJS, where access control and related audit records are maintained.
The portal is responsible for public information, navigation, and policy disclosure, while OJS handles submission, review, acceptance, and workflow data processing.
If the portal later adds contact forms, subscriptions, or event registration, the privacy notice will be updated to reflect the new data categories and handling rules.
